Title is very misleading. I read what Lupe pintor thinks of the fight but who's the Mexican legend that they're referring to??

      I absolutely agree.
Chavez' supposed 'weight advantage' that people refer to is a bunch of bull****. Canelo was rehydrating to low 170s fighting at 154 as a 22 year old. Bodies mature and become naturally heavier in mid 20s. He was between 175-180 against Smith and Khan - that would make it a 25 lb rehydration, which is large, but has been done before many, many times.

Against Chavez, the weight limit is higher, so he'll be 164, but he obviously wont rehydrate 25 lbs - something closer to 17-20 is more reasonable. That means that Canelo will be 181-185 lbs against Chavez.

Chavez rehydrates to 190 when fighting at SMW. He should be slightly less at a 164 CW, but even if he's the same, we're talking about an in his prime, easily making weight Canelo at 185 vs. drained to **** Chavez Jr at 190.

There is no weight disparity. When these guys get in the ring people are going to be very surprised.

Chavez Jr. needs to have the best training camp that he's ever had if he's going to win. I imagine since this is such a big fight, he'll have to take it seriously on another level that his last several outings.

I expect Canelo to land a lot of sharp power shots throughout the night, Chavez Jr's style hinges on him being able to eat some shots in order for him to throw his typically, pretty short, power shots.

If he hits Canelo with something like that round 12 bomb he landed on Martinez, I'd be interested to see how Canelo takes it.

Canelo is guaranteed going to land his best stuff on Chavez, the question for me is if JCC Jr. can land his big money punches. It's either a shut out or a shoot out, but JCC Jr. isn't going to win this fight based on his somewhat non-existent defense.

Quoting former champs, former greats, and current boxers or champs on who wins in matchups is about as useless as it gets. I cant believe how many journalists and reporters even bother to quote boxers. Boxers dont have some special insight or industry knowledge that typical boxing fans dont also have, regardless of if Canelo is a proper pick or not.
