This would actually be good and keep a champion from getting stripped because he has to mandatories to fill and can't fill them both. Plus maybe would make some good fights if you have the #1 ranked in the WBC vs #1 ranked in the WBA for an eliminator for that mandatory spot.

Anything that integrates the separate 'championships' is going to be good for the sport. It's still going to be problematic if the WBO & IBF won't cooperate, but they would come under a lot of pressure to do so you'd think.

The WBA can't even organize their own **** competently, what makes you think they can do it with another org?

I do agree that at some point you do have to get all four of the major sanctioning bodies on board but I guess for now it's a start.

Well, I guess if that's true then the WBC will help them get their **** together.

Can't that same argument be said about EVERY sanctioning body out there, though?

Sadly, you're right. Incompetence is the norm

Lol I mean, I guess they are working towards making things right but at times they still don't even follow their own rules. Like putting out a list of their fighters not enrolled in VADA but at the same time one of them is fighting for their belt.

Great, great example of the incompetence. How does something like that get through checks? Do they have checks? They didn't even need someone to expose them for ******ity, they exposed themselves.

                  Argh.

Unifications can either get made, or they cant, but ratings wont change anything.

That being said, I LOVE the idea of a common mandatory challenger. Take GGG for example. Lets say he had an IBF mando due with Tureano Johnson, and a WBC mando due with Heiland. Instead of fighting 2 garbage mandos, or potentially losing a title because the mando didnt get done in time, let Johnson and Heiland fight each other, and the winner gets the mando shot.

If the IBF and WBO can get on board with this, it would be MUCH easier for champs not only to unify the titles, but to be able to actually keep them....
                    ahhh...how simple it was in the 70's & 80's...

Hey, here's Miguel Berchelt not enrolled in VADA but's no biggie. He's still allowed to fight for our belt vs Vargas.
