They should get on board and only have ONE World Champion, but I doubt it. Everyone want a piece of the pie.

Getting two(or more) sanctioning on the same page would be a great move for boxing. This would be a small step but one in the right direction.

About damn time, that's why WBC and WBA are the most respected titles... And if their champ doesn't play ball ala Canelo, they'll be done. Gotto respect that, especially the Wbc

That being said, I LOVE the idea of a common mandatory challenger.

If the IBF and WBO can get on board with this, it would be MUCH easier for champs not only to unify the titles, but to be able to actually keep them....
Agreed, this would be better for champions like ggg.

I thought the IBF was already in agreement with this when they talked about it over the summer? It was the WBO who refused to participate.

If the alphabet organizations could establish consistent rankings with one another, boxing would really benefit.

I want to know how the pre-meeting talk went down. Are the orgs finally recognizing that boxing is in a bad way in the States and something has to be done.
You have to remember why the other orgs came into existence in the first place. As much as you can unite a couple of orgs another one can spring up and strive to gain recognition - eg. IBO. And then boxers, promoters and tv stations/channels can legitimize them, case in point the next Eubank fight and ITV - bringing in Ward to lend gravity to a p1ss poor fight.
But in the end it is the promoters and not the orgs that cause most of the issues. If T.R don't want to deal with Mikey then they won't and he will miss fights with Loma and Crawford.

Sounds like they are about to start rating champions from all the sanctioning bodies -- provided the WBO, IBF get on board. Interesting. Any incentive to facilitate fights is a good thing. The WBA have also made effort on consolidating its championship titles as in Jacobs-Golovkin...the WBC establishing VADA for their contenders was excellent...sorry to tell you guys boxing is getting better ; I know I know you love taking shots at boxing and get your kicks laughing at the failures of this sport because your a born loser...PBC is bring boxing to the mainstream.....OH! yeah I know it hurts.....keep crying b*tches.
