As I understand it, Wlad owes HBO one more fight whether this fight goes to SHO or not.
Frankly, HBO is in a great position IMO. If Wlad loses, he likely retires. If not, they still have the option on his return bout.
If he wins, then you get him against Fury or Ortiz, either of which would be a big event.Comment

Since his win Sat, Mikey, or a member of his team, have talked openly about Lomachenko and Crawford. Those are the fights a fighter in his position should want.Comment

He said, if Lomochenko is willing to move up to 135 because he is not going down than he is open to that fight but he hasnt hear top rank mention anything about the sorts.
He also said, Once hes done with 135 he will move up to 140 and if crawford is still their is 100% willing to face him.
Like I said you shouldnt be expecting Mikey to face fighters outside his division, dont mistake him answering question concern xyz fighters as his career roadmap. Also given as both of those particular fighters are with Top Rank it is highly likely Mikey will never face them as Bob Arum will not give Mikey any resemblance of an opportunity.Comment

Dougie fisCher is a straight up idiot and a haterGarcia wrecks this guy. Linares Won the vacant WBC title in Japan from a guy who had like 7 losses and beat a Crolla who had 4 losses and beat nobody. Yet the Ring and Dougie Fisher and all them anti PBC guys claim his the #1 guy. Garcia punishes this guy and KOs him like Demarco and Thompson did. Crazy how the Ring and all them writers didn't even think Garcia was top 10 at 135 in their rankingsComment

I agree. But my point is that fans nowadays seem to think camping out in a bad division is a great accomplishment. Roy was criticized for camping out at light heavy when the division wasn't that tough. And from a physical standpoint, he really didn't have a choice IMO. He unified all the belts except the WBO. But back then, the WBO wasn't a requirement to be "undisputed." But things are different now. Fighters are applauded for doing what Roy was criticized for.Comment

Okay, gotcha. I would say that it's harsh to criticise Roy's Light Heavyweight run (the Michalczewski situation was a shame but it was mutual, not all on Jones)I agree. As a fan, I wanna see the biggest fights. And the biggest fights for Mikey are Lomachenko and Crawford, maybe Manny. Broker is big, but for reasons unrelated to actual in-ring competition. I'm very aware of the political roadblocks that could prevent all of those fights from happening. At the same time, I'm not gonna pretend that those fights aren't the ones I most want to see. And while I wouldn't kill Mikey for fighting the likes of Linares and Easter. I'm not gonna pretend that those are A-quality match-ups just because they put "unification" on the fight poster, especially a Linares fight. If Easter notches a couple great performances in there in the next couple fights. Sure, my excitement for a Mikey fight would grow. But again, I'm not gonna pretend that Easter didn't just go life-n-death with a B level fighter just because he has some dip**** belt.He said, if Lomochenko is willing to move up to 135 because he is not going down than he is open to that fight but he hasnt hear top rank mention anything about the sorts.
