If you're a bonafide elite and Linares is the best in your division. You're probably need to look outside of your division to make great fights. Feasting on a bad division is somehow applauded nowadays. But it's not the stuff of legend.

He was not stripped, hes champion in recess in addition the WBC sanctioned the Crolla fight as unification and also ordered Linares vs. Zlat provided that he won the unification vs. Crolla - now that role falls on Garcia.

Actually, I'm the total opposite. I've been a fight fan long enough to remember a day when the best fought the best.and the top fighters that were a division apart, sometimes two divisions apart, were chomping at the bit to fight each other. I also remember a day when the too guys weren't allowed by media and fans to rule over crappy divisions under the sham of wanting to "unify" meaningless paper trinkets. A lot of you so called seasoned fight fans don't remember those days.

                  You might be right.

We negotiated once when the fight was originally scheduled for December 10th and we were able to resolve it
Maybe that's what I was thinking of?

You shouldnt be expecting MIkey vs a guy below his division nor a Mikey vs a guy above his division.

Mikey vs Linares, Easter Jr are the viable options for him.
