I stand corrected. And I should have known better. Uncle Roger uses more colorful words to state the obvious.

      "That b*tch ready to QUIT!"
"Too many boxing skills for that mufugga"
      "He can't do ****"
"Let's go to the body on that b*tch this time"
"He ain't seen no mufugga like you"
      "He dead now"

I think a lucid Roger Mayweather is the better of the two by far. Roger is slightly less narcissistic, for what it is worth. But Senior has Bronner's number!

its pretty funny but not as bad as people make it out to be. he might not give detailed breakdowns the way some guys like roach do but he throws in a few instructions. like in this video him telling floyd to keep backing judah up and judah doesnt fight well backwards. he was the one that told floyd this initially in the fight, i think after the 4th round or so. zab was winning rounds with the jab on the outside, floyd took his advice and started winning rounds and later dominating. he also said here in the videos oscar was going to get tired late, which he usually does but is advice none the less.

i remember stewart saying one time that he prefered to only give his fighters one or two key points inbetween rounds, to not try to overload them with information since theyre resting and need to focus on only one or two things that will stick in their mind. roach is the opposite and likes to give some more detailed stuff.

            the mayweathers ....

the art of talking shit, while not really talking shit.

"he cant fight that damm good".

so he can fight, just not that damm good.

giving props, then taking it back. typical mayweathers.

Cheerleaders! Do you hear any technical advice? NO!!!
Do you hear double jab step over and work under? NO!
What you hear is reinforcing what Floyd has come up with.
The Mayweathers are not highly technical trainers, they use the basics like any other trainer but they've only had success with ONE fighter from scratch.
What Champions have they trained from start to finish, Floyd!
The majority of lil' Floyds success come from Roger not Floyd.
They seem to talk down fellow trainer Angie Dundee as only a "reinforcer" and prep guy! The fact is that Dundee worked with champion fighters long before Leonard and Ali.

The vast majority of great trainers get left out once a real prospect signs with a promoter because the promoter wants to segregate the fighter from any people who can influence him and question the promotion companies CO directions.
I remember Johnny Davenport getting ripped off by a local east coast promoter who then took the credit for developing and training the fighters. Dirty business if a trainer doesn't have his own connections. It happens often!

Awesome communication between fighter and trainer

                    An undefeated cohesive unit

A marvel to witness over the years

                    Thanks Uncle Roger.
