    McGregor promotions

You know the way Conor has set up this McGregor promotions, has he really set it up?
Because isn't their something that with it being a promotion company, the money gets paid into the company, so technically McGregor himself is not getting paid,it's the company, isn't that why boxers set these company's up? Less tax and all that ****.?

So wouldn't that get him out of his contract as he technically wouldn't be getting paid,or can't be sued either, it will have to be the ufc suing McGregor promotions wouldn't it?

Which I'm sure 2 "boxing promotions" holding a boxing fight isn't illegal?
If that makes any sense haha

I read a while back that if he got a boxing license he should be considered a boxer and could look into the Ali act

Connor is a Floyd copycat...trys to copy Floyd in every way but will NEVER have the success of him...He will be gone in a few years like the rest of these UFC fighters they come and go.

Yea a lot of business people, not just boxers, setup a company to lessen taxes & for other reasons that benefit them. I'd suspect McGregor is already smart enough to be doing that cuz taxes are a mfer when you are in that highest tax bracket in a career that could end on any given night & your pay can drastically change on a fight by fight basis, but idk all the particulars about Ireland either with this sorta thing so who knows.

I'm sure McGregor Promotions isn't much of anything at the moment. They probably don't even got a phone number outside of the touch butt guys' cell phone. They definitely don't got a website or FB page even, cuz I just checked, which are among the first things a business should be doing these days so that says everything to me. Apparently he has applied for a trademark for McGregor Promotions last month doe.

Ya but i say its like most boxers "promotional" company where it is only a buissness in name really....kinda like a front ha, once its registered as a company, then really its their company to do what they like if you no what i mean, ex they dont have to set up anything, and its only somewhere to dump the money yano....

so lets say dana says hey we are sueing you, well they will technically have to sue mcgregor promotions, who can just file for bankruptcy seen as their will no money in it anyway,
then all he has to do is set up a new one probably called notorious promotions or somthing like that, thats a new company which the case would be closed by that stage i would think.....

Unless their is somthing in his contract saying he cant compete in ANY other combat sport.....then well hes kinda fcked trying to get out of it haha

Thats super interesting to me right & the billion dollar questionnow. I believe, along with others smarter then myself, that the Muhammad Ali Act wouldn't consider UFC contracts to be a legal agreement in the boxing world thus Conor will be allowed to box if things get into court proceedings.

And something most boxing people won't know is that UFC fighters have been allowed to compete in grappling events (Jon Jones most famously as of late, but there are probably a dozen or so guys I could mention), which is technically considered a combat sport not unlike boxing, as of late where you can get severe injuries if you don't tap in time. So I think one could argue if UFC fighters are competing in grappling events while under contract why couldn't they compete in boxing events too.

true, i think this is what mcgregors point is and he is confused about that aspect of it....
but like you said, the BIG qustion is does is contract say ANY combat sport, or does it say boxing, or does it baiscally just mean or put in that he cant fight MMA under a different promotion ??

The thing is it doesn't matter what the contract says Conor can or can't do if its determined to be illegal as I & others suspect it would be.

The other thing is this would have to go to court to get that all figured out which is a time consuming & costly thing obviously. Its for sure in everyones interest to figure things out without court, but the UFC should want to figure things out the most cuz like I said they would open up a sh^tstorm if Conor's contract was deemed illegal meaning that most if not all other UFC fighters contract are illegal as well.
