I mean come on May will runs circles around this guy and to me this is an easy money making win win fight for May but since its another fight going toward the his record will it be accepted by the true boxing fans as the big 50th win????

Why not? Every great fighter has about 10-20 names on their resume no one has ever heard of. Granted most of them come at the start of someone's career, not the end. Never the less, no one says Ali has a record of 56-5 with an asterisk next to the 56 saying that 10 of the fights were against really unimpressive fighters...

Give it a year or two and Floyd fan boys will start citing McGregor as one of the greatest wins on Floyd's resume

That is NOT for #50 it is a Exhibition/Money Grab so NO it shouldn't be considered #50

Mcgregor should have two quick warm up fights.

Floyd Mayweather will need some time to get back in condition.

I guess it would be officially recognised but it would be a very weak way to get to 50-0.

I completely understand the business aspect of the fight and don't blame them for doing it, but it's a bull**** fight in sporting terms.

It will be 50-0 with a huge asterisk for me.

It'll be a professional boxing fight why wouldn't it be counted?

I mean, yeah it's a win but come on. How much credit do you think will be given...professional boxer beating a UFC guy. Even if there is footage of McGreggor whooping up on pro boxers right and left, this fight will be considered a gimmick event and a Floyd cashgrab.

First thing people will think of is him against the Big Show, lol.
