The only way this makes sense is IF Brook can comfortably make 147 which I don't see he can .He didn't LOOK any smaller than G. at middle but then he carries a lot of muscle weight and G. doesn't and that can be deceptive making him seem heavy.I don't get the rational of Brook when he say's he will fight Khan at 47 but not sure of Spence, other than the obvious.

This tells me two things, one he thinks Khan is short work and two he knows Spence is not .The money would be there for the short work and the money would not for the hard work.

Kells career most definitely lies at light middle and that's a real shame for him as all the big money fights are at welterweight.

Foolish to say that a boxer that fought the P4P, unified Middleweight champion is afraid of a Welterweight contender. The reality is that Brook stands to make more by fighting his last 147 fight against Khan and then move up in weight. Brook gains nothing in a Spence fight because Brook already has the belt and Spence doesn't bring Khan level money.
indeed khan is his only big money fight at 147 right now, but spence being the mandatory, brook will have to pay spence the side money to step aside. spence has earned his mandatory shot. but khan saying let brook fight spence and he fight the winner is rubbish..

        also kell brook was
never #1. beating one anna half
        contenders (porter
and senchenko) dont compare to bradley and pacquiaos wins.
Pac and Bradley have done NOTHING at 147.

Does anyone think Haymon is influencing Khan's hardline on the Brook fight? Ensuring that Spence gets his shot?

Whatever the story it's embarrassing for Brook. Talking about how he can't motivate himself to face a young challenger, like he has a hall of fame career behind him or something. He's beaten Shawn Porter and that's it. He's in no position to demand public sympathy for having to face a tough mandatory.

I cant remember if it was here or CHB, but a poster somewhere pointed out that Haymon has Brook cornered a little bit.

He has Khan and Spence, who are Brooks options at WW, and then if he moves up to 154 Haymon has a lot of the top guys there too.
