Don't feel bad I'm buying the fight as well!!! Good undercard against either one for Matty. Just throw a Cinco De Myo party and ask ppl to chip in a lil. Hell I usually never loss $$$. I usually come out even so get drunk, eat GREAT, and watch boxing for practically nothing.

if im not mistaken, i thought matthysse made the move to 147 once and didnt show he brought his power up. lets see what the lay off did for him. but once an eye is injured, it will consistantly swell in every fight.

Checked that out and he did indeed go 10 rounds with a guy who in his fight b4 Matthyse went 12 rounds with none other than Canelo at 150 pounds,this was in 2008,interesting record,tough bigger guy.Check out boxrec.

not sure why people think this will be a cake walk. Cano just UPSET Maurico Herrera. Matthysee is a wild card because he's been inactive a long time and dealing with the injured eye. If he's rusty/no longer hungry or the eye still ain't right he could get upset just like Herrera did. If Matthysee is 100% and the same ol' Matthysee he destroys Cano but no clue what shape physically and mentally Matthysse returns as.

Cano's coming off a great win vs Hererra and he possesses a big frame and a strong chin, he's only two stoppage losses were due to cuts. Gave morales hell and arguably beat Malignaggi so a very tough and exciting fight if it happens which I hope it well.

agree if Matthyssee ain't right this will be a long night for him. However it goes the fight will be fun because their styles match very well.

*If Chavez Jr. comes in shape Canelo is in for a LONG night! Hell if the odds are right and at the weigh-in if Chavez looks GREAT!!! I would put some $$ on Chavez to win.

Chavez Jr. just made 168 after being retired for 17 months! Sure he looked like a skeleton but what do you expect when he had only 4-5 weeks of training. The fight was SIGNED LATE October and he fought Dec. 10th.

He probably just starved himself for 4 weeks or did a bunch of blow to make weight. NOW he has almost 4 MONTHS to get ready for a CAREER defining fight! If he blows this he's DONE!!!!
