Assuming Errol Spence, Jr. wins the vacant IBF title, how does he gain recognition?

Who does he defend his belt against to solidify his position? Can we be sure he'll beat Andre Berto for the vacant title?

It almost doesn't matter who Errol Spence Jr defends his belt against, at least early on; stage the fights in Dallas and Brooklyn, Spence continues to punish whomever gets put in there with him, you give him a chance to talk to the people, and the attention is going to gravitate to him.

I think he comfortably beats Berto, but Berto is the type of fighter who's always going to make it a good fight (there to be hit, takes punishment well enough, good firepower in both hands, explosive, etc).

Skeete and Ponomarev are likely fights that end up in NYC (though neither guy is really all that much of draw, the NYC location does ease some of the travel issues for the fans that may end up flying in), with the rest of the fights likely taking place in Texas (unless some screwy scorecards are produced, which will likely lead Spence to permanently move his fighting career to NYC/Las Vegas).

How can you NOT be sure a ring genius like Spence would beat berto?? That's a walk in the park for him, and you're acting like he didn't get the biggest ratings of the year.

Spence would KO Berto in 2-3 rounds.

Well it all depends, if Pac fights horn for example then horn can be an option next for spence, sad thing is people like Bradley are not available but maybe Vargas?

I doubt that anyone in those rankings would stand much chance against Spence. Time will tell of course, still need to see him against a strong puncher at world level to see what his chin is like.

Exactly , people really don't know greatness when they see it.
