Technically, he was reinstated WBA Super Lightwelter after Peterson tested positive, so he last held a World Title on July 14, 2012 - making it roughly 4.5 years, but that doesn't discredit the underlying point the OP was making. I think the more significant development within his career from the past half decade or so has been the perception (true or not) that he has a glass chin. He also has become increasingly difficult to work with from a promotional stand point, as his demands for recognition and payment have overshadowed his actual value and talent in the ring.

Khan is a hard one to figure - He's a well known name, but with a lackluster fan base. He was a mega star in the making, who had very public back-to-back loses. He's since gone on to put together a respectable win streak, but then got stopped, albeit to one of the best in the world, two weight classes above his. How would one evaluate him?

At this point, both Brook and Khan are in the same boat. Both need a win, a solid win, against someone who's name carries some weight, and they both need to ditch the toying with MW and stick with WW. I don't see their fight as an A/B side, right now, both are kind of B draws, this should be a 50/50 - Champ out second - event. Location can be Khan's choice, but they both need this to remain relevant.

Khan tickets started at £50, Brook vs Bizier started at £40. Brooks fight did like twice the attendance of Khan's. Brook = bigger draw in the UK.

And what did Brooks and Khans ticket prices end at and what was the total gate for each?

Porter needed the judges help to just get a draw the fight before Khan fought him and Alexander is Porters best win lol

I wont even talk about the other bums that make Brooks top 5 wins despite being a career welter

It has to do with opponents, like khan last fight tix might have more people because he fought Canelo,or brook because he fought GGG..as them being the headliner or A side, both are around the same.50-50 sounds good to me,but what do I know.

Khan fought Julio Diaz, Brook fought Kevin Bizier. If anything Diaz is more known.

Still better than what Brook has in 13 years at WW. Again Brook is the desperate one, Khan can continue fighting whoever he wants.
