Floyd's resume was topped off when he came back from 2009 up until his retirement. Only bad opponents were Berto was was a going away fight, and Pac was coming off a decent-at best win, but this was simply a fight that had to be made.

I dont look at it as his best opponent.

No one gonna mention BHops - Joe Smith Jr? Hopkins was clearly hoping for someone just credible enough to make a good fight on paper but not seasoned enough to appear to be a serious threat. He almost surely figured that Joe Smith's win over Fonfara was a fluke and that he wasn't a legit contender.

EDIT: Well the video does have Fonfara-Smith Jr, which was a better example anyway

Quillin Lee is a terrible example of a cherry pick. I don't know if I'd consider Jacobs Pirog a cherry pick but perhaps I have some hindsight bias here.
