The highest ranked opponents Golovkin has faced were Lemieux and Murray, both ranked as the #4 contenders at MW (http://www.tbrb.org/2015/10/10/10-february-2015/, http://www.tbrb.org/2015/10/13/13-october-2015/). Brook was #1 at WW but that's two weight classes below MW.

"Better" is relative term but Wilder's signature win was ranked higher at the weight than any of Golovkin's wins.
Golovkin opponents actually had a following, were well known and were fighting in a much stronger, competitive division.

Bermane Stiverne will go down as single handily one of the worst/weakest champions to ever hold that WBC belt at heavyweight I really can't think of anyone worse than that.

Stiverne is probably the best win, but that's not saying much. GGG will take the edge if he beats jacobs.

I agree with you regarding the result of Martinez-Murray, but if you look at Martinez's performances before and after that fight (got beat up and dropped once - should have been twice - vs. Chavez Jr. in the 12th round and got beat up and dropped 4 times vs. a junior middleweight in Cotto) it's fair to conclude that Martinez was finished and even so, the best Murray was able to do was win 6 rounds? Plus his subsequent losses to Golovkin, Abraham, and Groves prove he is just a mediocre fighter that caught two aging champs (Sturm, Martinez) at the right time.

As poor as Golovkin's resume is with respect to how elite he truly is, Wilders is significantly worse.

Jacobs isn't a bigger win than LeMule, Murray, or Macklin btw.

It doesn't. Which is EXACTLY what I say to people that tell me Canelo is a GOOD opponent, or a threat to Golovkin in any way.

FANBASE DOESN'T MAKE A GOOD FIGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet K2 for a good 2 years yapping for a Canelo fight even before he stole the strap from Cotto.

What is the logic of wanting to fight Mayweather at 154 no problem, who's smaller than Alvarez, or not take up on Brook's 157 catch initial offer, but the dude from Kazakh - protected by Abel and Loeffler - states 154-168 is easy going back to 2013. Golovkin is a clown. Nelo gun knock some sense into that hype job

Name me one win that Stiverne has that is better than T.Johnson, Curtis Stevens is much better than Stiverne.

Sure, Wilder should get Ward to come up to fight him afterall Ward said he would eventually come to heavyweight so why not now?
