I get what you're saying. I do see the difference in 2009 Floyd, and 2014 Floyd. Floyd seems to be content in just fighting outside and flicks the jab on the opponents face recently, oh so slightly pushing their head back. But back in 09 Floyd is eager to commit on his punches and walk them down, and a jab that snaps their heads back hard.Comment

The young hungry Pretty Boy Floyd that had a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. The one who was calling to fight everyone out there, and who nobody wanted to put their guy in with.
Pacquiao from the demolition of Cotto and before. Manny was a darn machineComment

Agreed. I was a fan of Floyd till he picks Ortiz. I gave him a pass for fighting Marquez, but when he faught Ortiz, guerrero, I lost the respect I had in him when he was PBF.
I am a fan of PBF floyd but not Money May.Comment

you respected floyd when he fought judah coming off a loss(to a bum) and then baldomir(the bum) oh yeah and then retiring. if that wasn't a signal that he didn't give an F then i don't know what isComment

Like I said, it all goes down the drain near his retirement and after his retirement. But 2001-2005 Floyd I was a fan of.Comment

For me personally, he is slightly different from fight to fight. Like aginst JMM, he was flawless, and incredibly catlike and instinctive. But not allot of power or aggression. Against Shane, he walked him down, and didnt use any basic fundamentals as far as slipping shots and hip movements. He squared up the entire fight, and kind of Bruce Lee'd him.
Against Ortiz he walked him down, but looked more like a classical boxer. Against Ghost he looked like the Genero Hernandez fight. With his movement, and use of the ring. His punch use was similar to the Ortiz fight. How he throws right leads at Southpaws.
But the Canelo fight was a combination of the JMM and Ortiz fight. As far as walking him down, lightning fast hands, great use of the shoulder roll(like the ortiz fight) and aggression.
Since 2009, we've seen multiple versions of grown up Floyd. It wasnt just the 2009 Floyd, being duplicated from fight to fight. His style was customized to fit each opponent imoComment
