Winky did beat Vargas no doubt. Winky took Vargas best shots and came right back in his face. He was backing Vargas up the whole fight. Also might add that when winky fought vargas, he was just begining to use that style. He's perfected it since.

I don't always agree with his politics (I do a good majority granted). The thing which has always drawn me to him is his ridiculous ability at public speaking. He's, for lack of a better term, a word-smith. Listening to him speak is always a delight.

                LOL!

if you want to start making excuse then lets get the facts straight, vargas was to face the judege the following monday after his win over winky and not to mention he also had family problems, oh, and was what 21, 22 years old, and how about winky? winky already had im i think it was over at least over 7 years in boxing compared to vargas what 3 years. if winky was so good, and so talented why did it take a figher like vargas to give him a title shot to see that he was that good?

didn't people see it in his first fight with bronco mckart?

thats some mind games right there he played with him, why would b-hop trade with one of the best punchers at the time? b-hop beat him mentaly before the fight started. then he beat 2 guys then faught winky. the 2 guys he looked good knocking them out. then he faces winky a man who changes his style after being beat. if you look at taylors style he is nothing special just a guy who comes in with power.

What were his family problems? Taylor is how much younger than hopkins? DOnt pull the age card buddy. Winky also came on late in his career.

what was different was the lay-offs and his state of mind and as mentioned, I at least could see that he was not the same fighter as before, just like delahoya, i seen a lot of **** he did wrong, and stuff that was not their in prime form
