You're goddamn right I did. No way I'm spelling that right more then once. I also considered just mangling the name worse and worse through out the article, but I feel like that might have been a bit confusing for some of my more casual readers.Comment

I just posted the article a 3AM eastern time and bumped it at 8 when more readers would be awake.Say what you want about the guy but he did incredible for a guy with no power at all.Comment

in an era where titles are watered down and there 17 weight classes 4 "world title belts" for each division with some like the wba having three belts! there is nothing incredible about what paulie achieved hell ricky burns is a 3 division champ belts these days are glorified participation trophies.paulie had no power so whatComment

TBH I really never followed paul's career all that close, but I do know that an inpronouceably named Ukrainian got beat down that night.in an era where titles are watered down and there 17 weight classes 4 "world title belts" for each division with some like the wba having three belts! there is nothing incredible about what paulie achieved hell ricky burns is a 3 division champ belts these days are glorified participation trophies.paulie had no power so whatComment

Great analysis as usual.
Have to say though, it was a nice performance by Paulie but I can't stand how this is sometimes sold as a legacy achievement. Senchenko wasn't even what you could call a fringe contender. He won a vacant paper title by beating Yuriy Nuzhnenko.
Who?
Exactly.
Paulie wasn't even a top 10 welterweight after he won this fight. And sure enough he immediately gave the belt up to Broner, who proved to be some distance short of the world level at welterweight himself.
Not a comment on the analysis, just on the uneven way in which these titles are regarded. This was a gatekeeper beating a continental title/journeyman level of opponent. No more, no less.Comment
