I'm still waiting on somebody to expose Dan Rafael, that guy is so anti-PBC it's disgusting. he has to be getting paid under the table.

boxing fans are no better. since when do fans become fans of networks/promoters instead of supporting boxing regardless?
Was driving and thinking the same thing. I have always felt like Hopkins cannot be trusted. Always had this feeling about him, which is why i was never a big fan of him. He seems like the type to sell out his own brother for a buck. I kinda get that feeling with Samuel Jackson, too.

You may not be aware of this man, but there have been PBC events on NBC, CBS and FOX that did several million viewers each. I know there is a lot of misinformation being spread by the HBO propaganda machine, but if you look at the cold hard independent numbers, PBC has actually delivered a very respectable audience. PBC on FOX and UFC on FOX both aired one week apart last year and the PBC show beat the UFC show by a wide margin.

But many fans believe PBC has been a failure because of all of the propaganda they see online. It appears you may be one of those fans. You criticize PBC for being on several different channels, but seem to forget that the NFL airs on CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN and NFL Network. So PBC's model was nothing out of the ordinary in the sports world and PBC successfully delivered several million viewers each to CBS, FOX and NBC.

Pbc had some very solid events! However i dont think they are being promoted at its full potential! Get a better marketing director to put the product out there! For some reason GBP/Top rank fights do very well when it come to the promotion and a lot of those fights suck! Pbc needs the right team to provide the right exposure as far as marketing

The racism is de****able and condemnation for it has not been anywhere near as heavy as it should have been.

On the broader point, a lot of people still refuse to accept that with the stable comes the responsibility. They have been happy to celebrate Haymon's takeover, but not acknowledge that with such control came the bulk of the responsibility for the boxing schedule.

A myth that must be dispelled; other promoters never received criticism for shi*ty matchmaking. This utterly untrue. If you want to criticise individual journalists for bias, that's one thing. But amongst the general fanbase Bob Arum was savaged for killing/delaying fights like JuanMa-Gamboa.

You can't criticise industry people for not making fights they can't make. You criticise them for what they could do but don't. Haymon is the sport's most powerful figure. 2014, 2015, and 2016 were three of the worst years for boxing that anyone can remember. Blame will fall at his door. That's how it works.

Instead of using his money to give us top fights and pay fighters what they deserved, he was giving us **** like Garcia - Salka while Garcia was getting paid well above top dollar for the type of opponent he was facing.
The only man trying to bring back boxing to channels you can get on antenna. And people complain about him not making Ali vs Tyson on CBS? These fights are free to watch. Meanwhile a paid sub with HBO gets you very similar quality, and the rest of the decent fights or PPV.

With PBC, people behave like they're paying for a product and not getting their monies worth. It's free boxing.

Yeah, that seems to have been by design.....

In the later years of Mr. Schaefer's tenure, I learned that a number of agreements with boxers that Mr. Haymon managed contained "key man" clauses, which provided that if Mr. Schaefer left the company, those boxers could terminate their agreements with Golden Boy. Mr. Schaefer informed me before he resigned as CEO that these clauses had been demanded by Mr. Haymon.
