Although its part of a lawsuit its still wrong. Are they gonna argue in court that Haymon is a ******* or he is Black Hitler? I'm talking about a statement saying We at Golden Boy and Ring Magazine don't condone this type of language. The reporter has been talked to and disciplined. But instead they haven't said anything. And there's no pressure from anybody in the media to get a statement from Oscar or anyone else at Golden Boy. They condone this language. This information has been out there. The writer of the article doesn't have special access. This information is available to the public. It probably would've never come out if the judge threw it out and Paul Gift didn't write about it. So Golden Boy/Ring Magazine know the writer said that. They know this information is public before the article. They took no action until Paul Gift wrote about it. His articles were on their site until the day the article came out. So that shows you they're ok with that type of language as long as it's not made public. I would simply ask if they condone the language and if they don't condone the language why did they wait until the emails became public to take the writers articles off their site.

Hopefully it gets thrown out it is a Bull**** Lawsuit sounds like something filed out of SPITE and Jealousy only for GBP to have their own dirt exposed. Arum was smart enough to settle before getting his dirt exposed. But it makes GBP look bad regardless! As well as certain members of the Boxing Media!

Promoters and fighters have switched between Showtime and HBO since they both started carrying boxing. Pacquiao has even fought on Showtime, and Holyfield and Tyson and many others. Why does this guy get a pass? That's the reason he was fired and the reason HBO doesn't have money in their boxing budget. He fucked up. And Floyd didn't even have an HBO contract. He was on a fight by fight basis and he took the Showtime offer to HBO to match and they refused. All that money Showtime made could've been HBO's.

Schaefer couldn't force Haymon to make his fighters sign. And if Schaefer refused to put on their shows Haymon would've taken his business elsewhere, which included Floyd Mayweather. Floyd Mayweather has only promoted one of his own fights, Pac/May. The other tens of millions of PPV views had the Golden Boy banner up top and Golden Boy logo on the mat. Go to a Floyd show in Vegas and all you see is Golden Boy. That's how you build a brand. Brand building is almost as important as making money. Why do you think McDonalds and Coke still run commericals? They don't need advertising to get people to buy their products. It's about the brand. It gets hard for me discussing this topic with people who punch a clock for a living. Ya'll just don't understand how business works.

The reason the GBP/Schaefer aspect aren't talked about more is because Schaefer is long gone from GBP and GBP is back on HBO, while Haymon is not.

Furthermore, it wasn't known at the time how many "GBP fighters" were signed to Haymon AND NOT GBP.

That's the reason I quoted the article written AT THE TIME.
