Exactly! There was some great investigative reporting done by this independent site (although the name slips my mind at the moment) that detailed how Dan Rafeal and other journalists were being wine and dined by Top Rank to write hit pieces on Haymon and eventually the PBC. Idk how anyone can't see how obvious this campaign is. How could people form such strong opinions about someone who has made little to no public interviews?
I salute the Bloody Elbow's coverage of this case. It has dispelled a lot of assumptions about Haymon (apparently he's not even being paid a management fee from his fighters in the PBC series) and revealed some sad truths about the GBP operation. Arum was smart to settle w/out discovery and depositions. As a lawyer himself, he is much more experienced dealing with the messiness of boxing.Comment

I agree with the pbc mismatches part but the part of hbo having better ratings because they have more subs is false hbo and show used to be neck and neck in the ratings not that long ago until hymie started pbc and ruined showtime boxing by taking all the good fights away leaving only scraps for showtime. This article seems very valid. However, I think the reason why PBC is getting more complaints from fans is because there was a ton of money available and the fights that resulted didn't match what could have been available at all. Where's Gary Russell Jr., Stevenson, most of 154 division, most of 147 division, Broner, etc. For the first 2 years, their fights have been bad mismatches. Compared to HBO, PBC/Showtime has clearly brought a better product, but it was significantly less than it could have been considering the funding available. That's my only ax to grind. Now, I think they are going to fight more often with better opposition, but we will see... With that being said, I think many have taken note to how bad HBO has been. More people subscribe to HBO than Showtime, which is why it's number are better. People don't like change and probably won't switch or buy both (even though I acknowledge that mant buy both). With continued success of putting high-quality shows on cable/Showtime, fans will vome around on their own smear campaign or not...Comment

This article was by Ivan Goldman and Haymon's venue squatting which the Jake addresses in his story. I think the article you're talking about is the one written on The Queensberry Rules. Not so much an investigation but a story criticizing the media. That story was written based off a user on Reddit doing something no one else in the boxing media, or even Ivan Goldman the original writer of the story, thought to do. Email the California Commission asking for public records on the investigation of Haymon. There were no public records and there were no investigations. But everybody ran with the Goldman story of Haymon blocking venues. After that post blew up the writer of the original story said the California Commission are afraid of Haymon, smhComment

you are spot on.... Haymon should be lauded for not taking manager fees from some fighters.... Most managers would take their money first....... The ***ish and mexican controlled media in boxing have turned him into black hitler pretty much.... Go look at steve kims twitter timeline the past couple of years..... It is a 24/7 haymon smearing machine.... Steve kim has even started fake accounts with haymons pictures and calling him a ****** lover in the bio...... Guess who the fake haymon account re tweets the most??? If you guessed steve kim you are right....exactly!
