PBF & Leonard are 2 of the greatest boxers I've ever seen, that includes Ali & Robinson. Both with great skills, but PBF skills is a little better then Leonard. Best I can describe PBF is a combination of Whitaker & Toney.

get your eyes checked. pbf would have been slaughtered by the 1980's welterweights., and whitaker would have schooled him. chavez would have kayoed him. he isn't ****. he is carefully matching himself. eventually he will make the wrong match and be ****ed up

I think it would be a good fight, but honestly SRL might take it. I can't say though. I think Sugar Ray may be stronger than Floyd.

The only facet where PBF has an edge would be in defensive technique, and it's not a significant one at that. Everything else goes to SRL. Mayweather would be out of his depth at 147 with Leonard, and a few of Leonard's victims.

Is Mayweather as talented as Sugar Ray Leonard? Without question. Is he as great as Sugar Ray Leonard? That remains to be seen....

What has Floyd Mayweather done at the Welterweight division?

He beat Zab Judah, a fighter who got knocked out by Kostya Tszyu in 2 rounds. He is also a small welterweight.

He beat Sharmba Mitchell, a fighter who got knocked out by Kostya Tszyu in 3 rounds. He is also a small welterweight.

Didn't Mayweather turn down the fight against Margarito?

It doesnt say anything we didnt know already. Leonard fought great fighters, and beat them. He knocked out Hearns, Benitez, made Duran quit, and ended Hagler's career. It doesnt get much better than that.

He did everything Floyd does, but hit harder, box as smoothy as anyone. He fought for 15 non-stop rounds with Duran at his best, and out boxed an incredible boxer in Benitez. Neither Hearns nor Hagler could stop him.

                    He was not overrated.
Ill go with that! Just imagine Floyd fighting a prime Hearns with the speed, power, reach, combinations and agressivness! somebody out there might utter the name Corrales (in comparison slow in fighter, natural super feather) Floyd "may" have beaten Hearns. But not like Leanard did!

Yeah we wanna see him forced to use his heart like Leanard was forced to do many times! Im not sure the challenges are out there to the extent they were in Leanards Era.
