One of my best friends is a Puerto Rican from NYC. I visit NYC every 2-3yrs. I'll be there for Thurman-Garcia. And believe it or not, everybody not living in the Northeast is stuck where they are and dying to get there. For the most part, I feel like the Northeast, in particular NYC and Philly are complete toilet bowls. Y'all have a ridiculous way of life up there. And it makes no sense to me why anybody in their right state if mind would wanna live there. And most people I know that come from a similar upbringing as me, that have visited the Northeast feel very close to the same. So don't think the Northeastern way of doing things is somehow the standard that the rest of the word needs to be trying to live up to.
Like I said, all you see is Black and White and it's all you know but what you don't know is that The America's aren't native to either of you..!

I cringe when people use the word, particularly non-Black people. I live in NYC and my parents are originally from the South but it wasn't a word that was used in my household by my immediate family. Most if not all my friends use it *******ly but I never use the word nor see the value in it but I also don't use the B word but that's just how I was raised I suppose. I think people that use it then criticize others should exercise the same discipline in not using it themselves as they expect from others. Unfortunately, I've gotten to the point where I just ignore it as I feel like we as a people have much greater issues to address.

I just told you one of my best friends in the world is a Puerto Rican that was born, raised, and still lives in NYC. It has nothing to do with only seeing black and white. The same way you accuse me of only seeing black and white. You only see the Northeastern way of doing things. And all I'm saying is that the Northeast ain't **** and can't be used as the standard that the rest of the world and country should be held to.

That would be ideal, but its not realistic. Race and racism exist. You just have to use common sense and human decency. I use ethnic slurs all the time. I hardly ever call white people white or Caucasian among my non-white peers. That doesn't mean I'm running around shouting cracker, hoogie, peckerwood, honkey, etc in public. Its just a respect thing and recognizing that something that is very natural for me is likely very offensive to someone else.

I will. I'm sure you'll need someone to interpret my accent.
