barrera outjabbed ward and i knew then that kovalev would easily beat him. beterbiev prob doesnt even know what a jab is but barrera's in danger of going in the khan/kirkland/price no chin zone.

Solid win. Barrera's only had two high level fights but he's a top 10 guy at light-heavy. Would establish Beterbiev as strong contender. Beyond that there's not much you can say.

Considering how much praise ward gets on this site for beating barrera,does a win over barrera mean beterbiev is considered one of the top dogs in the division? If beterbiev does a better job on him than ward did, how significant a statement would that be? Will he get credit for it or will people say that barrera was never the same after ward beat him?

If Beterbiev is able to bludgeon Barrera and stop him within 5 rounds, he makes the clear leap into the top 3 at 175lbs, with an argument to be #2 behind Andre Ward.

Barrera-Ward was a close fight.

But Ward had his shady home judges as usual, who gave him rounds for clamping, clinching, grappling, headbutting and other illegal tactics.

It would be a be a better won for Beterbiev than Ward. It was a good won at the time for Andre, not great. It would be a much better won for Bievs because it would show his progression to beat better fighter as he rises up.

Yes, it would show that Beterbiev is progressing and worthy of the high rankings he has has with the various sanctioning organisations.

My guy is already a contender... They all fear him like plague ... I suspect some here will still have concerns about his defense after he destroys Barrera and that will go all the way to when he wins the titles ... That's just the way it goes... They just don't get it yet...

What do you know about boxing. The only reason you underrate Barrera is because of Ward. I've never seen you give one worth while breakdown of a fighter since I've seen you here. All govoltardness and hype train.
