Brook is right. Spence doesn't have the name recognition with the casual fan that would translate into a money fight.
The reason is simple, his resume is thin. Spence has 21 fights and only 2 twelve rounders.
Algerie's the only name guy on his record (Boodoo-Whodoo?) and the IBF is the only org. to rank him #1 contender.
Spence is a great prospect but he's getting a shot at a title without being in with a top guy.
Brook, like any fighter out there today, is going for the big payday.
As a fan I'd rather see Spence fight Brook but Khan-Brook is a mega fight in the UK and boxing is more business than sport.

This Brook farce is getting annoying now. If you don't wanna fight Spence just vacate instead of holding the belt hostage and making Spence wait . It's funny how he had no problem with the Kevin Bizier and Jo Jo Dan mandatories but against his first tough mandatory his now not motivated

Hearn and Brook are in a tough situation haha because without the ibf belt the pacman fight won't happen and they will lose leverage in negotiations with Khan but at the same time Spence is high risk and low reward and there's a good chance he loses.

By the way moving up to 154 won't be any easier as I see the Charlos, Andrade, Lara and even a fighter like trout giving Brook all he can handle.

The Khan fight is a big domestic grudge match here in the UK. I have no problem with Brook wanting that fight ahead of his mandatory (Spence), Brook has previously spoken of lack of motivation even before GGG/Khan/spence. He was NOT happy fighting Brazier and Jo Jo dan, but having said that if Khan isnt waiting on you then move on and fight your mando.

Spence doesn't deserve a shot but JoJo Dan and Kevin Bizier did? Please stop with the crap.

This guy's last 4 fights have all been complete ****; JoJo Dan, Frankie Gavin, Kevin Bizier, & a real clown show against GGG.

He won the belt in a close fight w/ Porter, where he held nearly 100 times. (Maybe more; a different ref should've deducted points for this. And you can't say it was needed b/c Thurman fought Porter with almost no holding.)

I used to think this guy had some real talent, but he just looks like he's afraid to step up and have a competitive fight in his weight class. He's the biggest disappointment of all the British fighters by far; just give the belt up and fight in a completely meaningless fight with Khan (Where Brook will likely get shafted on his cut anyway).
