The problem isn't Floyd or Conor.

Or rather, the problem isn't Floyd....

THe problem is a guy called Dana White who exploited a girl named Ronda Rousey and another dude named Conor to abuse his name in public when Floyd never even mentioned them..

Furthermore, Dana makes more than the fighters going into the ring.

The boxing world and its industry laugh at Dana White.

Floyd and PPV are synonymous. Even Pac acknowledged splits. How much PPV has Pac done entirely?

And lastly, they're promoting this a ring bout, hence again, Conor wants to get paid well to have his ass schooled regardless if he just recently got a license to box..

Ok but right now Conor's name is in Floyd's mouth every other day. And Conor is the guy bringing excitement. Floyd hasn't since Maidana 1. Floyd needs Conor to get that $100 million. So they gonna have to cough up big money to get McGregor.

Floyd wants to break Marciano's record with a huge 100 mil PPV blockbuster against a guy thats boxing record is 0-0. Almost seems like it should not count on the professional record but should be considered an exhibition.
Roy Jones Jr. fought a fan with a 0-0 record 2 fights ago that counted on his record (http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:2056988). The fan was an MMA fighter with limited MMA experience (http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Vyron-Phillips-69837) and some amateur boxing experience. McGregor is an accomplished MMA fighter and also has some amateur boxing experience (http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/the-...riking-skills/). No reason that it wouldn't count on Mayweather's record.

Very flimsy promotional tactic. I doubt they'll buy it, Mr Espinosa.

Conor is the most exciting fighter in combat sports right now. His fights are really good. What's exciting about Floyd and Dana discussing the fight??

the argument doesn'T work with meritocracy. There's nothing ''exciting'' about Floyd and Dana discussing. Follow NSB more often and you'll find threads about it, ridiculing either Dana or FLoyd. Rather pathetic Conor doesn'T say anything about it.

And for the third time, I guess it's irrelevant if we honestly ask ''who will win?''

Yup. Espinoza is throwing truckloads of money in this Thurman/Garcia fight. He's worried the fight might not generate the numbers he wants and might get fired. He needs to convince the fans TBE is fighting the winner. Very flimsy advertising tactic indeed.

If they fight it will be counted but I just am saying this is more of a fight to make Floyd look good. McGregor obviously can't compete with Mayweather or any name boxer for that matter. Comparing him to current form Roy Jones is actually not off base though. Floyd can still compete at the highest level of boxing if he choses to, but he no longer has the desire to do so. In a sense, he will make a bit of a mockery out of breaking Marciano's record with the McGregor entertainment bout. I'm not knocking the hustle, I realize Floyd is done with fighting a competitive fight. Its basically take the McGregor fight or get nothing. Floyd gets to look sensational knocking out McGregor in an action fight.
