I think Michel, who promotes both Beterbiev and Stevenson, has said that he won't match them against each other

I'm thinking the difficult Ward-Kovalev II negotiations may lead to the IBF being vacated and Beterbiev or Barrera will end up fighting for that, probably against Kovalev himself if the Ward rematch doesn't get made this year

Agreed and Beterbiev does have a good enough defense Prieto tried to ecxhange and he blocked everyting and countered perfectly even if e barely fought in past year. His timing is in another class IMO

Barrera-Beterbiev is a good fight.

There were some interesting matchups at 175 in 2016 so nice to see it will continue into 2017. Lots of talent at light heavyweight. I'd like to see Dmitry Bivol fight a contender soon.

I'd like to see Shabransky back too, people shouldn't write him off because of his loss to Barrera. His defense isn't great but he punches very hard.
