I want to see how Canelo takes to being hit by a SMW. We know he can dish it out but can he take it? He took hits from Liam Smith, Lara and Cotto - but they are light hitters compared to Chavez.

according to Eric Gomez, golden boys president, the original weight was never 165 it was always 164, Contrary to what everyone believes, Canelo and his team actually gave them an extra half pound. So he says

I don't think Chavez's chin is what it used to be, and I don't think he has the will to continue to take punishment over the course of a fight like he did against Martinez.

I think Chavez quits on his stool and only fights bums after this fight.

Judging by the inconsistency of Chaves Jr. career I wouldn't put to much stock in his ability to pull this fight out. Making the weight and performing at it are 2 totally different things. I expect to see a severely drained Chaves step on the scale and a subpar effort into the latter part of the fight.
