From what I gather from that whole mess was GBP felt slighted and attempted to rally the press for support. They tried to get some Mexican freelancer to get other media sources on board and it appears to have failed.

why didn't they do that when he first made the racial slur? But now they want to scrub him from their website. It's clear they condone it because they didn't fire him after he said it, they fired him after the public discovered he said it. Dontae is one of the biggest scum bags in boxing media right now. He treats everyone as a collective instead of as an individual. Absolutely zero fact checking. Just bases everything on speculation and invents conspiracy theories.

For starters, emails from a reporter who doesn't work for us, works for Ring and fight news, making racist remarks to a GBP employee is not a story.

Baldares was let go by this website two years ago because he wasn't a very good writer. English is not his first language and his writing was too tough to edit.

He was hired by fight news and Ring. His social media accounts clearly state he writes for Ring.

I really wish people would make up their minds. Because we get accused time and time again for sucking up to Haymon and PBC, but now we're against Haymon because a Golden Boy PR rep was asking this writer to find a way to get our site to run his hit piece?
