First off GBP is being blamed because a journalist sent some racist messages to their PR guy. GBP didn't send those messages, that was all Hesiquio Balderas who isn't employed by them. There's not evidence that he's employed by them. So yes, he is a racist and he got exposed as a racist. I don't see how that should impact GBP.

But the most ridiculous thing is the way he somehow tried to connect the dots to boxingscene colluding to write negative articles about Haymon and PBC. That is such total bs.

Hesiquio Balderas is not part of boxingscene anymore. The last article he posted was on August. 2015.

If you look at all of his posts, they're all about Mexican boxing and Canelo promotions. He doesn't have a single article regarding Haymon or Mayweather. He's basically a Ronnie Nathanialzs for Mexico.

For starters, emails from a reporter who doesn't work for us, works for Ring and fight news, making racist remarks to a GBP employee is not a story.

Baldares was let go by this website two years ago because he wasn't a very good writer. English is not his first language and his writing was too tough to edit.

He was hired by fight news and Ring. His social media accounts clearly state he writes for Ring.

I really wish people would make up their minds. Because we get accused time and time again for sucking up to Haymon and PBC, but now we're against Haymon because a Golden Boy PR rep was asking this writer to find a way to get our site to run his hit piece?

Boxingscene had nothing to do with this. The Golden Boy PR was asking the journalist to get the story on boxingscene. They never ran the story. When he does write for boxingscene it's about the Mexican fight scene.
