This is the guy who says he is a small middleweight, who says he can make 154 comfortably, at least that is what he was saying when he was angling for Floyd. As far as why he should give in to the weight demand, the answer is because that was a CONDITION THE A-SIDE ASKED FOR TO MAKE THE FIGHT. It wasn't like Golovkin wasn't already on record as saying he could comfortably make the weight.

But splitting 5 million with Jacobs sucks in comparison with 15 million from Canelo and a shot to propel himself into real PPV stardom.

That's what happens when you bring a fanbase that will pay to watch you fight. Chavez Jr. himself said he believes the Mexican people are behind him over Canelo and if that's true than 20% is justified.
Still, that 20% likely won't end up being more than 15 million with his guarantee after the networks and promoters take their cut.
BBB side could have locked that fight down for September. Now he has to carry a PPV that won't sell well and Canelo/Chavez Jr. could be the biggest PPV this year. That offer may not be there after GBP look at the numbers and see what BBB sides value really is.

But the most important thing about the 15 million is it is at least 3 times what Lil g can make with ANYONE ELSE.

He is B-side. He can take it or leave it.

But, if he leaves it and then has a misstep, you can bet the next offer will be much, much lower.
