Floyd is the master of Cherry Pick'n and he knows who to stay away from and when to fight a fighter who past their prime .

An upset win over Pedraza doesn't get him ready for Lomachenko. Loma is more experienced as a pro at the top level, having fought Salido, Walters Martinez already. This was Davis first top level opponent and many people didn't even know he could win like that. He needs to get those Salido's, Martinez's and Vargas's in his resume next. Loma is a different story.

So you'd put Davis in with Lomachenko right now if you were his promoter? Or are you speaking like a dumb biased fan? It's biased to want to see the fight now, that Davis is only growing and will just be entering the top 10 130 list with his win over Pedraza, and Loma has been number 1.

"he's not ready for Loma." when will he be ready then? two, three years?

boxing fans constantly demand matchups and are constantly told to wait and be patient, UFC doesn't have that problem. but people remain fans because we love this sport that much.
Yes and that's why all the potential stars get wrecked before they even have a chance to grow and they have to throw out ancient has-beens and never-weres like BJ Penn, CM Punk or Dan Henderson to carry cards because Sage, PVZ, Ronda, even Conor, etc have already been wrecked before they ever had a chance to grow their careers into stardom. UFC has a terrible way of matchmaking that does far more harm than good..

Same ones complaining about Floyd's statement complained that Floyd fought a 23 year old Canelo. If a year older Canelo who had over 40 fights was too green for Floyd, why is a year younger guy who has half as many fights in good shape for Lomachenko?

I have no problems with the 'no rushing' concept since the kid is only 22, but do NOT hog a title and refuse to fight other champions. That's a big problem with boxing.

If you're not ready to fight other champion-caliber fighters, do NOT go for a weak title holder. You're a joke if you do.

He doesn't need to fighr Lomachenko yet, but when he's 25-26 he had better be going hard after that fight.

Also: I won't mind so long as he doesn't cherry pick no hope fights.

It's obvious that he needs to get more experience and develop his career slow, he's not an amateur boxing prodigy, but boxing fans is probably one of the most ******ed fanbases in the world and they just don't understand basic stuff like that

There's no point for both Loma and Davis to make that fight
In the moment you get a word title, you should be ready to face the best your division has to offer.

Tank at this point is still a young prospect. Floyd would be an idiot to let his prospect in with probably the most skilled fighter in the world at this point. Let the kid grow.
