Once again a super middleweight unification bout delivered the goods. For the third time in the division's history, it failed to deliver a winner. Through twelve compelling rounds, Badou Jack and James DeGale showed guts, fire, and character in pursuit of victory. Jack was down in the first, DeGale in the twelfth, and there was plenty to remember for ten rounds in between.

I'll have to watch the fight again, bearing the above in mind, because it looked to me like Chunky would have been a clear winner, if he hadn't got decked in the last round.

But, if you have a horse in the race, and you're willing him on to win, you tend not to notice some of the subtlties of the action.

Jack looked bigger than DeGale in the ring, and that could explain why, in the end, his punches had more of an effect on Chunky, in terms of facial damage, than vice versa.

Even so, the way Jack came on so strong at the end, I find it hard to believe he's struggling with the weight at SMW.

It was such a great and exciting fight. A rematch, in the UK, would make them both a ton of money. I hope Jack reconsiders moving up to 175 and gives us another scrap like that one!

That was a great fight. I'm glad I got to watch it live. Didn't bother scoring, but I was happy the draw. I didn't think either guy deserved to lose.
