He's talking about wanting to fight big names but what big names are there for him at 154? He always seems to pull out when there's a competitive fight. This guy has one credible win his whole career. Sacrificing your face for a career high payday two weight classes up doesn't mean anything. This weekend showed fans how great boxing can be when the best fights the best in their own weight class. Boxing fans should want that instead of these circus fights like Khan vs Canelo. Canelo vs Chavez Jr. Brook vs GGG
147lbs for Khan is a huge PPV fight
147lbs for Spence is just another mandatory defense something he has done many times and unfortunately it holds no serious weight to it...
So why can't Kell Brook tell Spence to move to 154lbs?
Spence is big as well and he has been waiting for ages to get a big fight oppertunity we all know he cuts a lot of weight to make 147, he wont cut 147lbs for someone most people wont know.

Big names at 154lbs there isn't any bigger names than the current ones of 147lbs apart from a Pacquiao, fighting at 154lbs against the top 10 would get him the same PPV numbers that he would do fighting the top 10 guys at 147lbs unless its a Pacquiao or a Khan.

Champions fighting their mandatories is viewed completely differently by the same fan base, depending on whether it's the champ or the mando they are supporting.

And whatever happened to "World titles don't mean **** ... he gotta move up .. move up .. only cowards wanna stay in one division .. blah blah"

About the same number that paid to watch Crawford fight Postol, its delusional...
Kell Brook is too big for 147lbs making a sacrifice on that weight issue to fight Khan or Pacquiao is understandable because of the big windfall of cash, Spence doesn't have the star power of either.
What's wrong with Spence coming to 154lbs to fight Brook in England if he wants it that bad not like Spence is one to call the shots he has little to bargain with but Brook moving up might see him become a world champion so its a win-win for him.

So what is stopping Spence from moving to 154lbs If he wants Brook so much?

Hey, its unfortunate Brook wanted to fight GGG to make a huge PPV fight and its a shame that Spence didn't get to fight him then but it happens I didn't make much of a deal with the Khan-Canelo thing nor am I making a big deal of Chavez Jr-Canelo these are both big fights with real star power to it, its good for boxing just like Khan Vs Brook would be good for boxing.

Just because you're a hardcore fan of the sport and want every fight made doesn't mean it will happen, the fight sadly isn't relevant enough and that's not Brooks fault and its not Spence fault either, Brook should do what is best for him If he can't get either of the two massive lucrative PPV fights in Khan or Pacquiao and that is by moving up to a weight that is comfortable to him he isn't moving from 147 because he wants to duck anyone.

Yeah but apart from earning big money, What was the reward for Khan for that tough fight? Zero
And money was being earned by Khan in loads by fighting other fighters therefore not much motivation for fighting only for money is it?

              He needs a dance partner.
It seems to me that your mind is molded to work in motivation of the money. Guess what, money is not everything.

I don't make anything when the fighters do. It seems to me that you forget what prize fighters are fighting for: the prize.

It's ALL about money. but even if it wasn't , the Khan fight is still 100 times bigger than a Spence fight.

                  Do what you want, Kell.

But just hand that belt over so Spence can fight for it. Stop making him wait.

                    • Just vacate already, and stop holding up Spences career. We know he will fight anybody.
Bradley didn't want it for the WBC mandatory
                      Brook obviously doesn't want it
Jeff Horn (#2 in IBF) is fighting Manny
Konstantin Ponomarev ducked the mandatory fight already

Look at the rankings, Spence will stop all of them.
                      1. Errol Spence Jr.
                      2. Jeff Horn
                      3. Andre Berto
                      4. Bradley Skeete
                      5. Konstantin Ponomarev
                      6. Charles Manyuchi
                      7. Eddie Gomez
                      8. Carlos Ocampo
                      9. Jose Benavidez
                      10. Ahmed El Mousaoui
                      11. Diego Chaves
                      12. Sadam Ali
                      13. Leonard Bundu
                      14. Dusty Harrison
                      15. Jayson Pagara
