Floyd is secretly happy that Broner will never be as big and successful as he was.

At least that's the vibe I get when he talks about lil Bro.

Doesn't seem possible. He loses to anyone in the top contender bracket. He's a good fighter but there will always be a few guys who are better than him in his division. If he built up his gas tank and fought more offensively there would be a slim chance that he makes it as an action fighter, because he has great hands. But I don't see that happening.

I would have believed it some years ago, but now? No. Broner would have to completely dedicate his time to boxing for that to happen.

Has already has two losses, so more will definitely come.
No real knockout power above lightweight, low workrate.
Has shown mental instability, no network will be willing to invest much in him.

Plus - he does not have a single PPV fight so far, so PPV Star??? Forget about it.

Broner should just drop that shoulder roll, it's clear that it isn't his craft. He should just be like Marquez, a volume counter puncher. Broner has good power and great chin, he has the size and the speed to do well against the top welters.

He looks ridiculous in the philly shell, waddling around the ring. You could argue it's his only line of defence but I think he would be better off if he moved more freely with his gloves up. He doesn't even counter that well from the shell position, he just stays shelled until the opponent stops his attack. That's pointless.

He has to figure out how to be more aggressive. Otherwise any top level guy is just going to outwork him.
