I actually think the sports gotten bigger in the past few years. It's low point was probably like from 2011 - 2013. Say what you want about the Floyd vs Pac fight, but it did bring the sport front and center to the entire world for the day. At the very least, it got people thinking about boxing.

I know a lot of people aren't a fan of PBC or want it to fail, but it's bringing boxing back to basic broadcast and basic cable. I've heard more people talk about boxing in recent years.

Mayweather vs McGreagor might be a publicity stunt, but it's gotten people talking about it. I hear a lot of people talk about this too.

It's far from the golden years, but it is better than it's been and I think it's on an upward trend. All you really need is more competitive match ups more than anything.
