Yet he still makes an ass of himself.

I'm surprised that anyone here has any shadow of a doubt.

Mayweather has always shown himself to be pretty underwhelming with regards to mental acuity.

He takes his time to answer some questions because the guy is a dumba** lol. Of course boxers brains would not be the same as a normal person, but TBE is just a plain plank.

That **** about Virgil Hunter is just the latest example. 'He can't be a good trainer if he didn't fight' and 'he's never been in a crunch moment'.

Angelo Dundee's 'You're blowing it kid' furing Leonard-Hearns is probably the No.1 'trainer crunch moment' people think of in the entire history of the sport. Also trained Ali through his biggest fights. Never fought himself. Or how about Ray Arcel? 20+ world champions. Never fought.

It's this sort of dumb **** that makes him impossible to listen to. Especially as he is totally incapable of handling it when someone contradicts him or points out an obvious gap in his reasoning.
What about cus d'amato? I don't think he boxed.

And that brain damage could for sure effect ones speech among other things. Even if they are among the best defensive fighters in the history of the sport.
Can you blame him though...anything he says is published by every boxing news site

Mayweather may not be articulate but that doesn't mean he's not intelligent. You don't make 100s of millions and being one of the biggest PPV draws boxing has ever seen without being smart. This thread reeks of prejudice.

LOL@people equating rapport and conversational skills with intelligence. You've run out of relevant things to hate him for, like what he's famous for... BOXING and going after his speech patterns. Start a thread about the hats he wears next.

I think maybe Floyd enjoying the drink a bit.

He has never been very quick trying to make a point, he was just good running his mouth.

And in interviews I think he is self conscious that people now know he cant read, so he trys to sound articulate, which he isn't.

But even tonight, when you the video of him in the gym talking boxing with Jack, he sounds just fine.

But when he tries to pick his words, he gets flustered.
