But he had a terrible title run, created massive distance between the fans

How old's this guy again? Soon to be retired for sure

Sorry about the cynical post, stevenson is just one of the problems in boxing and I find him super disappointing

u guys do kov no favor talkin robbery crap..if his team thinks they can just get a decision by screaming we were robbed last time and making no adjustments..his body will get killed even worse and he will lose even worse

Kovalev didn't know what to do in the trenches so he used the headlock to avoid exchanges at close range. if Kovalev engages Ward on the inside he gets dropped and humiliated. his game is long range, if he can't catch you at the end of his punches he's not effective.

it took a while for Ward to adapt to the reach advantage but he did in the late rounds..he'll take this experience in the rematch and do better. he now knows he can take Kovalev's punches and that he isn't no damn boogeyman. mentally Ward has the edge in a rematch.

expect a more convincing Ward victory.

look at ward refuse to headlock kovalev...ward would have him in position to but instead he would take his arm and wiggle it back to protect his own rib cage...showing a willingness to be on the inside unlike kov..i think ward won 115-112...if it wasnt for the knockdown this is literally a schooling

Kovalev beat Ward's coward ass the first fight. Even Floyd said so. It was a plain old political decision point of fact.

Ward will get knocked out 2nd fight because he will not be allowed to get away with all that holding, and those ARM PUNCHES inside won't be scored like they were with 3 corrupt judges.

Kovalev is far superior to Ward and especially pimp fool Stevenson. Stevenson scared to death of the Russian, never saw a black man so scared as Stevenson around Kov. Needed 2 bodyguards to enter the ring face to face with Kovalev. Embarrassing. Whatever banana republic Stevenson was born in, his people must be cowards.

Fight doesn't really need to go much diferently, they just need three international judges not 3 judges from the same country as just one of the fighters. That is the exact reason most American fighters dont like to fight out of the US there is biased judging for a home field fighter even here as seen in this fight. I want to see the rematch it was a good fight and both guys showed why they are among the best in the world hope it gets made. Stevenson cant talk, he never challenges himself, rather keep fighting nobodies and only talks about fighting the best. Super woman is a chump and his fans are complete jokes for defending him

3 international judges cant teach kov how to deal with pressure or inside fight..not hard pressure but ambush pressure...they cant teach him to stop headlocking...loook kov has fougth 11 times in the states and lives here in the last 5 years...ward had about 5 fights in the last 5 years...judges know kov..they knew teh tast at hand..kathy didnt care one bit about who the judges where bc they gave here man a complete sweep vs bhop with no problems...DONT START THAT
