Be careful calling Pacquiao, Hatton, and Marquez smaller than Floyd or else you get attacked by groupies claiming they outweighed floyd despite Floyd was 2 inches taller and 5 inches in reach longer and looked like twice their size.

These are not Floyd's best wins Lol

His best wins are everyone he faced when he came back at the age of 33, due to circumstantial disadvantages.

Coming off long layoffs to humiliate foes, being undersized by a whopping 15lbs, and being 33 facing men who were 24yrs old, and 15lbs bigger.

I think Ray has the better names on his resume. But put SRL at the same disadvantages, against the same foes, he would get beat df up badly. I cant imagine a 37yr old SRL walking down a man who was 22yrs old and 15lbs bigger.

Walking him down without getting touched by a single shot, and making it look God-like. By a few lightyears, its Mayweather.

And think about this. If Floyd had SRL's size and power, and fought the fab four, Floyd would've humiliated them and KO'd them all. SRL had allot of close fights with the fab four. He simply isnt as skilled as Floyd.

These are the reasons I always had Floyd, by far, the greatest in history. NO one could be in his shoes and do what he did. He shouldnt even be able to win, but not only does he win, but he humiliates them. Its astonishing really.

It will never ever happen again in the history of the sport.

        vs.

Corrales, Castillo, DLH, Marquez, Hatton, Canelo, Mosley, Maidana, Cotto & Pacquiao.

.. ima go with Floyd. of course I'm a bit biased since I grew up watching him.

if there are other great wins on Leonard's resume besides the four I mentioned, please let me know.
there really isnt!!! ill go with May as well but those names on leonards resume hold some serious weight

Easy Ray Leonard he beat all the greats in their prime he didn't wait 5 years to fight Hearns . or wasn't afraid of a fighter like Duran. Floyd version of fighting Duran would be wait till he's 50 and fight him with pillow gloves. Ray never used steroids and anyone with a brain knows Floyd was a steroid user

Leonard had higher highs but floyd had the longevity...toss up tbh.

I'm going with Leonard. I'm not convinced the difference is as wide as others claim it to be tho.

Exactly this. Hagler, Duran, Hearns, and Benitez are better than Floyd's top wins easily, but Floyd's overall body of work is better as he faced a much greater number of top fighters overall and beat them all. They are really close on the all time list.

the closest thing to Thomas Hearns that Floyd could've faced is Paul Williams..shame that didn't happen. .but we'll give Diego Corrales that spot then.

closest thing to Roberto Duran that Floyd faced was Jose Luis Castillo.

don't know who to compare Benitez to..

closest thing to Hagler is maybe a Maidana.

ok so SRL has Hearns (1-1 since Ray admits to losing rematch), Hagler (debatable win, Ray admits to taking this fight after seeing slippage in Hagler vs Mugabe), Duran (1-1) and Benitez.. besides those four I don't see anyone bringing up anything else.

is four worthy names in a 40 fight career really superior to a 49 unblemished record featuring names like Cotto, Mosley, DLH, Canelo, Pacquiao, Marquez, Corrales, Castillo & Maidana?

again I know my bias since i grew up on Mayweather but we're strictly talking quality of names.. Floyd wins by a mile.

If you say slippage in hagler, that would be applicable to almost all of the fighters in Mayweather's resume, pac, dlh, cotto, they are already way past their primes. That would leave you with hatton, Corrales, Castillo which isn't nowhere near the level of Duran, Hearns. And Ray has other good wins other than these 4.

He has zero wins that compare to Ray's best.
