People were excited for the fight two years ago. Now I don't see too many people excited. It's more of a "meh let him get paid, it's better than another Wade" attitude.

People aren't knocking him for that. They're knocking him for the fight being at 165 when he said that he wasn't ready to face Golovkin at 160 yet.

The same thing people knocked Golovkin for during the Ward negotiations, is the same thing Canelo is going right now.

canelo could have gone to 160 for a bigger name and bigger money, in a fight the whole boxing world has been demanding. Fact is hes had the GGG option for a while now and hes refusing to take it, stop defending this ****.

1) Canelo ducked his mandatory challenger at 160 because "his body is not ready for 160 yet", but has no problems fighting a worse fighter at SuperCaneloWeight.
2) Chavez has well known problems making SMW. Draining him to 164 is plain dirty.
