But, he's spouting more promoter-type bullshyt when he's criticizing Floyd's drawing power in any way. None of the guys he;s ever employed have been on that level.
This is a super accurate post.

What people forget is that when Mayweather headlines a card, he effectively is the card. People pay to watch the prize fight, the rest is just filler.

The UFC is a full show, where undercard fights carry a lot of significance and draw in eyeballs themselves.

What astounds me is that people still give oxygen to Dana's schtick after all these years.

Floyd has been the heel for sometime now, people either tune in because his opponent has a fan friendly style and they are a fan of his or because they want to see Floyd lose. The heel in this case will make bank wherever he goes. This kind of star power is different because wherever he goes, people will pay in hopes that they witness him lose.
Unfortunately he fought overwhelmingly in Vegas.

Floyd is definitely not a world wide superstar.

          McGregor, however, totally different story.

But you can't take away from Floyd that he managed to master the U.S market, which in all of history, contradicts everything that happened before.

          1) He's not a KO monster
          2) He's not entertaining in or outside of the ring
          3) His personality is not interesting, in fact its repetitive and kinda flacid

How he managed to become a PPV superstar, i'll never know. But he did it, and you have to commend him for that.

Floyd Mayweather is infamous throughout the world.
The heel everyone wants to lose.
            That's his niche.

Every country Mayweather goes to he gets mobbed by the fans/media.

There's a video on YouTube of McGregor walking through New York a year ago and barely anyone knows who he is.

Of course he isn't. That's why dana only offered $25 mil. We know how loose Dana is with that ufc money and paying his world renowned fighters

Which active fighter is more known than Mayweather in england? Guys like Joshua don't even come close. People that haven't even watched boxing before know who Mayweather is.

What does a year ago have to do with now? Look at the last time McGregor was in new york, people biking and running after his car.

He's on a completely different level of popularity right now, worldwide, to anything Mayweather has experienced.
