I don't know? Is GGG considered the face of boxing?

Exactly. I don't see why people are thinking that fight is going to generate that much revenue. It'll be lucky to even get close to Canelo/ Cotto numbers.

I hope they do give his team a percentage, he'll end up making less than that $15 million guarantee.

How ****** are you? Did Floyd get the same money for Berto and PAC? How about Ward for Kovalev and Brand? How do you justify Khan getting upside and none for GGG, moron?

Which is fine, it's only fair. So why aren't they? Why are they happy to concede upside to bums like Khan and Chavez but not to the big champ for the biggest fight in boxing?

I guess Canelo isn't as big of a star as peole say he is. Those 330k estimates sound real accurate insteas of the 400-600 BS.

Maybe he really did sell around 200000 PPVs for the Liam Smith fight.
              600k PPV's is about right.

              Average PPV price $65 x 600,000 = 39 mil

              39 - 50% (Cable Providers and HBO cut) = 19.5 mil

              19.5 mil + 7.4 mil gate = 26.9 mil

pretty sur ehbo is still obligated to publish ppv figures. they're a holding of a public company.

No he got more and Canelo will for Golovkin. I don't understand your point.

Khan got $6 mil for the fight it's in the article the thread starter got the revenue number from.

I may be misremembering but I'm pretty sure they changed their policy and will just let the promoters announce the figures from now on, in the same way that Sky Sports does here in the UK, thereby making the claims much less reliable

You can make a better case for Golovkin accepting that offer. He would still be making more than those other guys. 15 million guarantee doesn't sound to bad against a guy people insist isn't that big a draw.
