Don't care much for this fight, it's a cash grab like Oscar vs Floyd/Manny.

Hopefully Canelo knocks this guy out quick and doesn't toy or carry him so boxing can move on with better fights, like BJS or GGG.

How is it hard to believe canelo is at 164 fighting chavez, its a freaking gimmie money fight. See when GGG refused to fight canelo it forced canelo hand and with danny tied up with ggg, and saunders saying he isnt ready for canelo, Quillien still retired, they saw chavez was willing to play ball. Its not rocket science.

Only reason GGG vs Canelo didnt happen is cause GGG turned teh fight down, lol its that simple when you stop being bias.

Mr GGG aka ME RESPECT BOXING, bash canelo for winning the belt at a catchweight lmfao when GGG himself tried to make a catchweight title fight and put his 160lb fight on the line against rosado, IT WAS ROSADO WHO DENIED THE CATCHWEIGHT AND TOLD GGG TO RESPECT BOXING!

Mr GGG aka ME RESPECT BOXING, Said he only cares about the belts but ACCEPTED STEP ASIDE MONEY MULTIPLE TIMES LMFAO.

Lol only ostrich brain ass fools dont see the pattern with ggg.
I can continue to make you look bad with this debate but it's pointless. You Canelo fans really don't get it or don't want to. The more you defend him the more pathetic of a boxing fan you appear to be.

I hope Chavez ends Canelo's career so Golden Boy goes down in flames.

mexican navy will defeat Russia navy before Chavez hits 164.4lbs

There is no way Chavez jr. the soft lazy spoiled babied weighs 164.5 lbs for the canelo fight in may. Have this mexican crap fest in mexico only sparing the usa of the influx of crime and illegals swarming and infesting our great country. Si" Chavez at 165lbs would require a miracle from above.

Gabriel Rosado says he never asked for a catchweight to face middleweight titlist Gennady Golovkin, and has officially rejected a maximum weight of 158 pounds to fight at the full 160-pound weight limit.

CARSON, Calif. -- It seemed that WBA/IBO/WBC interim-middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28KOs) had his big fight, but the matchup with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fell by the wayside. However, the fight is not dead in the water. Speaking at the post-fight press conference Saturday after yet another GGG knockout, K2 managing director Tom Loeffler said the fight is still possible

But Wanted A Catchweight of 164 against Ward
            source
Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, who handle IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs), says a fight can certainly be worked out with WBA super middleweight king Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs). But the deal would have to be under Golovkin's terms and not dictated by Ward. Loeffler feels Golovkin has surpassed Ward as a ticket seller and in terms of name recognition - making GGG the A-side of the negotiations.

I don't get the hate and fanboy rants. Canelo made a business decision, fight son of a legend on Cinco De Mayo weekend for big money. Just so happens that son of a legend has been a washed-up pothead with some unrealized potential because of lack of discipline. He had the leverage to use on Chavez, who hasn't been relevant in a while, to eke out negotiation advantages. Now Chavez scores a big payday and he only has to train for this one fight; if he wins against the smaller guy he can consider himself a legend (I don't have to).

I don't see it as running from GGG, don't see it as some brilliant ploy to box GGG out of an opponent. Fighters want certain concessions based upon the risks involved in the fight as opposed to the reward (financial or fame). Almost all fighters do it, that's all there really is to it. I don't blame GGG for turning down the offer that Golden Boy provided him either. Hate shortens lives, so just sit back and enjoy the sport!

                      quote from your article "
One of the main sticking points to making the match is Alvarez's insistence that his opponents fight him at 155 pounds, one over the junior middleweight limit" nowhere does it say 158. Stop making stuff up. Canelo fans really to believe he wants the fight but we all know he doesn't. That's why he gave away his belt and all of his negotiations are for end of 2017. He never ever offered ggg an opportunity to be his next fight. These are facts. You can cream in your pants watching him beat low level guys like khan, beefy and Chavez Jr but you just make yourself look foolish. I'm not a ggg fan, I'm a boxing fan. Boxing fans want to see the fight happen and know Canelo and golden boy are to blame for it not happening. Canelo fan boys really don't want the fight to happen and want to believe everything coke head Oscar puts out there. Obviously you're in the fan boy category. Writing stuff in caps and large font doesn't make it true, it just makes you look like an even bigger a$$ for going so hard trying to defend him.
