    Chavez has more negotiating power than he thinks. He needs to stand his ground on 165 and 25%.

      He really doesn't. He just fought for less then 1m in Mexico in a fight aired on Bein Sports Español because haymon refused to pay for it to be on PBC and showtime also turned it down. He's been negotiating for over a month and it doesn't look like golden boy is budging so do you risk killing the fight and canelo moving on to Saunders or someone else? And chavez could blow back up in weight if he doesn't take a fight soon. He camt afford to wait plus he could get laid out by a middle of the road fighter again like fonfara if he takes another fight in between. Chavez needs to cash out now or risk losing the payday. Chavez needs canelo not the other way around.

        What's sad is everyone calling out Canelo for a big fight. Canelo offers them a contract and they start demanding retirement money. These clowns begging for more money then their fans calling Canelo a duck. These fighters need Canelo not the other way around. I just don't get why all these fighters think they deserve retirement money. They all want Canelo on their resume but want to price themselves out.

            Manny was making $30 million for fights already. He was close to the same draw as Mayweather. Would Pacquiao have turned down 3x his highest payday? Would he have turned down $90 million?

                Canelo playing chess while everyone else playing checkers. People said why did canelo pick smith his last fight he's unknown to American fight fans. The reason was to get his hands on WBO title for leverage in future fights. Chavez sr weeks back comes out publically crying about money being offered for canelo. 1 week later WBO made title holder canelo the mandatory for Saunders belt. Now Jr afraid Saunders will get the canelo fight so he's agreeing to the same money he was offered from day 1. That WBO belt played a factor against chavez and will also be used as leverage against GGG in Sept if he tries to price himself out.

                  These fighters trying to take advantage of canelo's name/brand. Canelo is where he is this point in his career because the made the sacrifices and took less money to make big fights happen. He also fought on ppv undercards to make himself known to the public. If ggg and Chavez were already receiving $15-$20 million per fight I would say Canelo is ducking them by offering that amount. But these guys are career $1-$3 million a fight and think they deserve retirement money from Canelo.

                    EXACTLY! $15,000,000 that GGG turned DOWN could be used to fight THREE Chavez Jr.s. Andrade, BOTH Charlo Bros! Thurman AND Spence (Later down road).

                    GGG want's at LEAST 40%. He REALLY thinks GoldenBoy who is FRONTING all the $$$$$ or Canelo is going to take LESS than GGG! You can't SPLIT. Seriously GGGTards think...

                    GGG = 40%
                    Canelo =30%
                    GoldenBoy = 30%

                    OR

                    GGG = 40%
                    Canelo =40%
                    GoldenBoy = 20%

                    This is what BOTH Canelo and GolenBoy will say to that BS!!! :****you:

                      Manny was younger and already a bonafide PPV star almost on par with floyd. That's the problem you guys don't live in reality and think GGG is on par with canelo even when everything proves that's not the case. Manny had options for other big money fights of his own and years on his side. GGG has no options and is already on the wrong side of 30 while Canelo is only 26 and the gap between canelo and ggg is bigger then the gap was between Floyd and Manny.
