Problem with this is that when Floyd was sticking up for him before the Kovalev fight Ward "lashed out" at Floyd. So now Floyd showed his support already and Ward reacted with a smug attitude "If you have advice to give me don't use the media", now he needs the support and Floyd isn't there. Can't be humble just sometimes, you shoulda just said thank you for the advice and left it at that, not act all high and mighty towards Floyd pre-Kovalev.

Ward has this passive aggressive way about him. He loves to call himself humble, which makes him the opposite LOL.

I don't take what he or any other boxer says personally though, because in front every strange answer and quote, is a dumb question by the boxing media.

Dude, Ward is one of the biggest hypocrite in boxing. He used to slight Mayweather here and there when he was working for HBO as an announcer and their buddy star, but since GGG came around and HBO tossed him he wants cronyism. Even before the Kovalev fight when Mayweather was offering some advice to him, Ward implicitly stated Mayweather was just seeking attention. At one point, Ward even wanted to fight Mayweather at 160. If Ward is a humble guy he needs to give Kovalev a rematch.
