but seriously the same way you can argue Kovalev won is the same way an argument can be made that Cuadras beat Chocolatito..so if Ward cannot be P4P #1 due to a close fight then Chocolatito can't have that spot either. compare Ward's face to Chocolatito after Cuadras fight.. he looked like he was slap boxing with Freddy Krueger.

so if a close fight disqualified you from #1 then it has to go to Lomachenko or Pacquiao.

I was born and raised in Oakland and was rooting for Ward.I had Kovalev winning by 1 but wasn't horrified by the decision.still though,it's going to look bad if Ward doesn't give him a rematch
