Margarito vs Mayorga

Prime for prime Mayorga would destroy Margarito. I actually think It would be A one sided and
brutal beating. However Mayorga is a fighter who wasn't in his prime for very long.....

If they fight now I would have to pick Margarito...

I thought mayorga was substantially larger but in retrospect, I guess he is not. I adore Mayorga. I find him absolutely hillarious and... He was able to accomplish some incredible things because of his explosive nature, both in and out of the ring lol.

I don't care much for Margarito at all. The gloves really left a bad taste in my mouth. But with that said he would destroy El matador. Margarito is a nightmare for Mayorga...he is the Messican terminator, he just comes on and never stops. Mayorga might hit him a lot, but margarito has a great chin and would be there when Mayorga wanted a smoking break, so to speak...anytime Mayorga wants to back off a bit margarito would be on top of him.

Bad match up for one of my favorite fighters. For those of you picking el matador at prime, I sure wish you were right, but lets look at facts: A guy like Mosley and Forrest are both boxers. Mosley had a punch, hence was a boxer puncher, and Forrest had impeccable technical ability, including an incredible jab...With mosley he is up in weight to begin with, so his punch is negliable whenhe fought Mayorga...Forrest is the more telling case. Forrest picks his spots, he sets up his punches and fights at a pace that is relatively stable. mayorga could overwhelm him with explosive punching and could back off at times without Forrest pressing the action. As long as Forrest could not counter Mayorga or use the jab to control Mayorga, Mayorga could mount attacks on Forrest, which he did.

Six heads lewis was another who was a boxer puncher. Mayorga could use his explosiveness to go after Lewis.
