That POS still thinks Saunders turned down $6,000,000???
You were a 10,000% right when you said GGG fans would dump Kovalov when he lost and become Lomachenko fans!!!!
Just look at Jedi!!! He can't figure out who to blow first??? So he just DP's both his GGG/Loma blowup dolls...Comment

Wrong. I can honestly say I've always supported the fighters who deserved it based on merit, regardless of race.
As for GGG being the best middleweight ever, we will probably never know how good he was in his prime because all the best guys besides Murray and Lemieux ducked him until they saw him age in the Brook fight. The people saying GGG would avoid Jacobs though, or the people saying an opponent like Jacobs is necessary to cement GGG's elite status in the sport, are ridiculous in a way because GGG already signed to fight the guy who KO'd Jacobs and that was four years ago. GGG's debut fight on HBO was supposed to be against that guy, Pirog, but Pirog injured his back.
Also people are saying GGG needs to beat Jacobs to get respect, because Jacobs beat Quillin, but even that shows bias because GGG knocked out Gabe Rosado who was kicking Quillin's ass before the fight got stopped either to protect Rosado's eye or to protect the PBC's A-side. Quillin was also knocked down by Andy Lee in a draw. GGG beat handfuls of guys on the Andy Lee level EASILY, like Murray who is at last as good, and Lemieux who is better, Geale and Macklin who are similar, etc, and he gets no credit. How does that make sense? And Quillin's only good win is N'Dam but Lemieux beat him even better than Quillin did. Also Quillin may have been on PEDs back then, but not when he fought Lee or Jacobs might be why his chin became so suspect even though vs N'Dam, he could walk through fire.
So it's ridiculous. Jacobs is a great fighter but the people saying he has the best win because he beat Quillin need to go watch the Quillin-Rosado fight before they say anything more. And then watch GGG-Rosado.
Back to the topic of who GGG fought, Froch could have fought GGG too before he retired but instead said you shouldn't get in the ring with him because he "hits like a mule" and you should swerve him like the plague. Sergio could have fought GGG but his promoter called GGG a "monster" literally and said no way he'd put Sergio in with him unless everything was perfect conditions. And the list goes on.
Hell, Danny Jacobs himself said a year or two ago that he wasn't ready for GGG yet. So I don't know how great GGG is all time, but I know the #2 middleweight in the world, Jacobs, at age 28, in his prime, said he wasn't ready to fight GGG yet.
And that's happened a bunch of times. Saunders, another middleweight titlist, said GGG would beat him and Eubank Jr. on the same night. So if I'm just a fan, but that's what other fighters are saying, shouldn't I believe them? It's not like fighters like to fluff up other fighters for no reason. Usually they over-hype themselves, they don't give free compliments to other guys in their division and even say that guy would beat them and another top contender in the same night. That rarely happens and yet with GGG, rare **** like that happens constantly, but you want me to believe that doesn't mean anything?
Regardless, I look forward to the Jacobs fight. I think if not for GGG's promoter shenanagins early in his career, and all the fighters ducking him since then, he would have had an extensive resumé by now ranking among the elite of his era, for sure. But because he was ducked for so long, and he's almost 35 now, he could decline fast at any time now and we may never know how good a resumé he could have had. I personally hope he does nothing but superfights from here on out and that we get MULTIPLE legacy fights before he turns 37, and that way maybe he'll still be at his best and we'll see how good his best really is. But I suspect he will decline before then, so if he can still pull out wins, it will just show how good he was/is, but at the same time, do I think they will be as dominant as they could have been 4 years ago? No, and other fighters know that too which is why they waited this long to fight him.
I mean you can go look up the quotes yourself man. How Danny wasn't ready two years ago. Please, he was in his prime. What it really meant was he didn't need to wait two years, but he wanted GGG to wait two years, and slow down a little. Then he saw the slow down in the Brook fight, and five minutes after that fight is when his trainer, Andre Rozier, called Steve Kim to tell him they were ready for the fight now. That is documented on record so you tell me what that says.

I think Golovkin should be applauded for taking this fight.
Jacobs is not a great opponent, but.....
* Jacobs is a very good opponent
* there is an element of risk for Golovkin
* GGG could have avoided that fight, and made the same money
but, you could be right.....
not picking on Golovkin here, just adding some context.....
you're right..... the guy who ran around for FOUR YEARS saying that he can "beat anyone from 154-168" may have to win a SMW title before he gets any credit
that is actually how the REAL world worksComment

Ward demanded to have 3 warmup fights at 175, how many warmups was he going to give GGG to move to 168? None, yeah, so hence the 164 compromise...the one that Ward refused...
SMH, trying to switch up the facts.

stop lying, that shht gets old
Ward wanted 1 tuneup following 12 months of inactivity
he approached Team Bullshht IMMEDIATELY following the Smith fight in June 2015 and said that he was ready to go
suddenly, Mr " anyone from 154-168 " needed a catchweight
go on, ask me for links..... I dare ya

I'll give Lil G credit for beating the best middleweight out there apart from himself.
But that's as far as it goes. I'm not going to say he's P4P #1 or anything like that.Comment

I think you might have something there. Golovkin is undefeated in his division and has pretty much dominated every guy that has had the testicular fortitude to get in there with him. Still some hate the guy. It may be a race thing but I would hope that isn't the case. "Critics" will tell you he hasn't fought anybody which his utter nonsense but it does make you wonder what the haters motivations are when it comes to Golovkin. Maybe a win over Jacobs will change their mind but it's unlikely that it will. Some people hate him and will never give him credit, even though they apologize for fighters like Wilder, Ward, and so on who don't chase after half the top names GGG does. At least Wilder has an exciting style, Ward doesn't even offer that. And yet you have people who apologize for Ward's BS but who hate GGG.
I will never understand it unless it's as simple as favoring black fighters no matter what, or hating white fighters no matter what. I personally root for any fighter regardless of race so long as they chase the best fights for the fans with regularity. And bonus support for exciting fighters who follow the rules. That's all I care about. For boxing to thrive, that's what fans need to get back to supporting in prize fighters.Comment
