What slug-fest was May apart of at WW? Floyd BOXES to WIN, BOXING Matches. Why would Floyd go against what got him over 40 wins, Pac's reckless style was put to rest by JMM. You guys that dont box and claim floyd is a light puncher, dont know boxing. Why didnt Maidana just walk through his punches...cause its not so light and easy as you guys would like to believe. Pac gave up when he knew in the first 3 rounds that Floyd was quicker and more accurate. And if you think you beat floyd WHY was he blaming his shoulder????? Why did he say immediately after that the reason he couldnt do nothing to floyd was that floyd was moving too much. If you're up on the cards, why would you risk losing when your objective is to WIN??? Your objective is to WIN if its entertaining thats just a +, if floyd didnt show his boxing skill and lost IN AN EXCITING SLUG FEST you wouldve said Pac was the better BOXER. But Floyd proved forever that he was the better BOXER. FLOYD NOR PAC MADE ANYBODY BUY THEIR FIGHT people did that on their own. But of course NO ONE takes the blame for THEIR OWN MISTAKES.

Have to agree, Pac killed it by saying "He thought he won."

Yea ok Abel. People were saying this shouldn't be on PPV when it was announced a year in advance. The promotion by Roc Nation and Main Events was horrible. HBO didn't help by having Kovalev fight in Russia on a Monday night in the States. HBO didn't help by only paying enough for Ward to fight Brand. Instead of addressing the problems in the sport it's easier to blame Mayweather. He's been getting blamed for everything wrong with boxing so it's no surprise to hear people in boxing take the easy road of blaming Mayweather. As long as people in the sport continue to take the easy way out, blaming Mayweather, they'll never address the real problems in the sport

If anyone thinks that Floyd vs Pac was exciting you watch to much golf!

It stunk and BOTH were to blame. Floyd started the "retreat mode" once he moved up to bigger men and he did NOT punch hard but he did punch accurately but worked in combinations less as fights came.

When you fight in Pacs style you must aware of distance if your not you get into trouble with counter shots. It comes with the territory and every pressure styled fighter deals with this.

ALL ppv are hurt from the Floyd/Pac uneventful showing why shouldn't it effect others. The biggest current boxing event lays an egg and buyers feel ripped off as they should.

Manny pursued the entire fight. So floyd killed the ppv draw. Facts. Gotta come to fight, not survive. That is what floyd did for the majority of the bout. Facts

He's going on about this being a disappointing PPV yet it still sold more than the show headlined by the fighter he trains.

                  It's a bit ironic.

One fight was between a American Olympic Gold Medalist and long time top p4p fighter and the consensus top light heavyweight who also happened to be a scary knockout artist while the other was between two foreign born but relatively unknown knockout artists only one of whom was regularly shown on HBO. One fight was heavily promoted with each fighter having at least two fights prior to their fight on the network to help promote it.

Yet, the more competitive fight that was more hyped and heavily promoted only managed around 10k more buys. Nothing to crow about.

By a few thousand, and it was two p4p boxers where the winner was supposed to come out p4p best.

When that didn't happen, they switched the blame to Floyd for not taking risks. Despite the fact he was right in front of Manny or on the ropes for 90% of the fight.

Then they saw Manny swinging for the fences and decided to give him a Miz Award, complaining that the judges weren't scoring his (ineffective) aggression.

People wanted Floyd to fight Manny the way he fought Gatti because they knew that was the only chance Manny had at catching TBE with something and beating him.

When Floyd didn't accommodate them, people blamed him for the fight when in reality, Manny just didn't show up.
Revisionist! Floyd literally spent sections of the fight running away.

And peop,e expected Floyd to fight because in the build up that's exactly what Floyd said he was going to do. He kept saying it, then decided to spend the first few rounds doing it and got hit. After that it was back foot all night with lame jabs.

Maybe that's good form, but fans ****ing hate it.
