Is Vargas a terrible fight for Manny? Not on the surface. Is he terrible when you consider the fact that Manny had just outclassed the guy that had just outclassed Vargas? Yep. Same goes for GGG. Is Jacobs a terrible opponent? Nope. Is he terrible when he's probably the best opponent GGG, who some claim is the #1 P4P fighter in the world, has ever faced? Its actually beyond pathetic. And you can stop with the "#2 MW in the world" nonsense. Being #2 in a ****ty division doesn't make you a good fighter. Postol was, and still is the #2 140lber in the world. You're not massaging Crawford's ballz for beating him. And Postol us probably a better "#2 guy in the division" than Jacobs is.
You're all mixed up mate. I don't even know where to begin with your statements above. Lets just leave it with the bolded - your own words. He can't be terrible and not terrible can he? Or maybe in your world he can?
As for Crawford - he stunk the joint out with his style against Postol - but he did comprehensively beat him.

    • can a pac fan tell me the last time horn was ever mentioned ?!?!?! and now hes supposed to be a credible opponent ?!?!?!

fncking pac fans want to go around a criticize mays choice of opponents and mock mays resume and pac is allowed to get away with this shlt ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

''naw, pac fighting horn is good for the sport !''

equally as laughable as a special belt being dangled over the canelo sol fight.

2 completely shltty fights being sold as credible fights.

Every fight isn't gonna be a superfight. All fighters have stay-busy fights in between their big fights. Jacobs would be an acceptable stay-busy opponent. My problem with GGG is that guys like Jackbs, Lemieux, etc are his "big fights." And he's fighting guys like Wade and Monroe in his stay-busy fights. That's pathetic for a guy of his status.

As for how Crawford fought Postol. I don't get you people. He moved up in weight. Took on the best guy there. Beat him up and dropped him a couple times. And y'all still complain. I guess you have to suck defensively like GGG. And dismiss your ****ty defense as "letting the guy hit you" in order to get credit around here.

You can only fight who is in your division or who is willing to get in the ring with you. Nobody at 154 has stepped up. Canelo has relinquished his belt. Who else is there?
Jacobs is the best there is at 160 and that fight has finally gotten made.
I don't think GGG is a great boxer. Nor is he accomplished. He is being hyped. But his style is exciting and he is good for boxing. I think that is what grates with me. he doesn't even get acknowledged as being good for boxing.
As for Crawford stepping up in weight. Yes he did. But he is huge. he was boiling himself down to make 135 anyway so I don't give him full credit for getting a belt there. Crawford is a better boxer than Golovkin and maybe a better fighter. But when you knock out 20+ fighters in a row that captures attention and is good for the sport.
