he hurt several times but just didn't wanna take any chances against a guy who just knocked out a guy who was 182 lbs

I used to like Cotto. I was happy for him when he beat Mosley, felt awful for him after the Margacheato fight and rooted hard for him against Pacquiao.
But him and his trainer's butthurtness after every loss make me dislike him. The fight wasn't even close. Cotto hung in there and he deserves credit for that but at this stage of his career he is a stepping stone for a guy like Canelo. If a rematch happens so be it, but it would be on Canelo's terms as Cotto doesn't have that WBC strap like last time.

I know I'm from the old school, but here's a suggestion: beat a Top SWW, and beat them @ 154 for a belt, instead of 153 for nothing! I know Jermall Charlo, Lara, or Andrade, would've taken the fight @ 154 or 153 if Cotto insists. If you beat one of them, then Oscar would be calling immediately!

Canlo's 2 sons will fight each other!

Is Kirkland really the best Cotto? and to top it off on PPV? What a FK joke.

C'mon Roach, winning a maximum of 4 rounds doesn't equal a victory. Don't start compromising your self respect. It's a bad look.

Cotto took some tremendous punchers and did himself justice but the result went the right way.I just hope the last Cotto fights are against decent opposition and not like Manny is doing with ....Horn or washed up welterweights.

Because its a FIGHT Anything can happen, he cold get caught himself and hurt or worse. You're deluded if you think Canelo didn't try to KO Cotto out of respect for him.
